MEET DR. WINGO
THE BIOLOGIST BEHIND THE MAGIC
Dr. Mary Wingo is a PhD biologist (University of North Texas, 2000), plant-chemistry nerd, and founder of Dr. Wingo’s Magic Apothecary. But let’s be honest, plant medicines saved Dr. Wingo’s life. Indigenous plant medicine technology is very sophisticated and can manage and cure many issues that are impossible in the Western world. She just looooooooooves hanging out with Pueblo Indigenous and Mestizo plant practitioners—learning, studying, and joking around. To be honest, plant medicines have saved Dr. Wingo’s life by facilitating rehabilitation of chronic oxidative stress and inflammatory disease. This stuff is real, folks.

Just for your information, Dr. Wingo was born in 1971 (you do the math) and the pictures below are unfiltered and not retouched, and do not reflect any sort of cosmetic procedure. Dr. Wingo does not have exceptional genetics, access to exotic beauticians or nutritionists. The fact that Dr. Wingo produces these types of sophisticated plant medicines is a miracle in and of itself.
For over 30 years, she has dissected biological systems, plant chemistry, and the complex ways living bodies heal. After making Ecuador her home, that scientific foundation collided head-on with something extraordinary: one of the most biodiverse ecosystems on Earth, and a decade spent studying directly alongside Pueblo medicine practitioners in the Andes and Amazon.
This isn’t a beauty brand dreamed up in a corporate boardroom. In fact, although it may appear cosmetic, this is actually sophisticated biohacking at its finest.
These are heavy-duty, small-batch formulations built from the ground up. They combine concentrated plant extracts, centuries of ancestral technology, and rigorous biological chemistry.
Some took decades to perfect. Some began as wild experiments. All of them contain a rather ridiculous amount of active plant chemistry.
THE SCIENCE PART
Dr. Wingo’s scientific background dictates everything in the Apothecary—from how wild botanicals are selected to the exact temperature at which active compounds are extracted.
Plants aren’t “chemical-free.” Plants are nature’s most complex, sophisticated chemical factories.
Alkaloids. Terpenoids. Polyphenols. Flavonoids. Saponins. Resins.
When you extract and formulate those compounds without destroying their delicate molecular structures, extraordinary healing happens.
That chemistry is the magic.
THE ECUADOR PART
Ecuador changed the equation entirely.
Living in one of the planet’s primary botanical epicenters turned the rainforest and Andes into both home and laboratory. Amazonian Sangre de Drago, Chuchuhuasa, Leche de Sande, Guayusa, and dozens of high-altitude Andean herbs became the core payload of her work.
The Apothecary sits deliberately at the intersection of two worlds: ancestral botanical knowledge and modern cell biology.
Dr. Wingo believes ancient healers and modern scientific literature have often been describing the same biological phenomena—they just use very different languages.
THE BOTTOM LINE
No fake-assed junk. Just hardcore plant science that actually works.
Plants. Science. A Little Bit of Magic.
